Meet Our Founders
Professional expertise combined with authentic lived experience
Vinity Gill
Co-Founder, Principal Therapist & Family Psychologist
“I was born in the position of caring. My older sister has a disability, and I learnt very early on that I needed to support my parents by blending into the background. I was called a quiet and shy child. It served the bigger picture in the tapestry of our family.”
Vinity's grandmother raised her, connecting her to every family member and teaching her to observe — and it was through watching her mother's tireless devotion to her sister that she first understood what parent carers carry. Her mother's death in 2023 shook her to the core, sharpening her purpose.
When Rachel came to her as a client, Vinity immediately recognised the same pattern of over-functioning she had watched her mother navigate. “The Daily Carer emerged from this need to make sure no other mother — no primary carer of a child with neurodivergence, disability, or chronic illness — goes through their life being lonely.”
Rachel
Co-Founder & Parent Advocate
“Hi, my name is Rachel. I am a Mother of 3. And I am a Parent Carer.”
After her second child was born, Rachel began to notice he wasn't reaching milestones. He didn't talk, didn't clap, didn't point. The professionals said it was because he was a boy — until a Speech Pathologist and then a formal assessor diagnosed him as Autistic (ASD2) with Global Developmental Delay, a month before he turned 3.
Then, aged 14, Rachel's eldest daughter had her first manic episode. Six weeks in an adolescent mental health facility. Bipolar Disorder. “I thought Autism had been challenging, and then I had to navigate a child with a serious mental health condition. It felt like I'd spent years climbing the mountain, only to be told I'd only reached base camp.”
In April 2024, after months on a waitlist, Vinity Gill became her son's new psychologist — and helped Rachel realise that looking after herself was just as important as looking after her children. Less than two years later, Daily Carer was born.
Our Shared Vision
Together, Vinity and Rachel combine professional psychological expertise with authentic lived experience to create a platform that truly understands and serves parent carers.
Their shared vision is simple yet powerful: to ensure that every parent carer has access to the support, resources, and community they need to maintain their wellbeing while caring for their children. Daily Carer exists because they believe that supporting the carers is essential to supporting the entire family.
